PRESIDIO SOCIAL CLUB

"All the comforts of a club without the dues."

Serving up a classic Northern California vibe, attentive hospitality, and a locally sourced, seasonal menu, San Francisco’s iconic Presidio Social Club is open every day for all your social gatherings. Nestled within the beautiful Presidio National Park, PSC is at once an inviting  urban oasis and a lively destination fit for an intimate dinner for two or a celebratory venue for large groups. Erected in 1903 as a military barracks, the historical building has been converted into a modern eatery sure to put anyone “at-ease” featuring contemporary twists on San Francisco staples and artfully crafted cocktails.

36 Hours in San Francisco

“Along with the well-known heights and sights, a weekend in San Francisco can take in the city’s maritime heart – its waterfront, much of which has been refurbished.”

Janny Hu, Bar Bites

“Nestled between eucalyptus groves just inside the Lombard Gate, the restaurant is a blast from the past – celebrating comfort food and its own centuries-old history as military housing…more brasserie than barracks these days, this is the place to go for a night on the town – while still in the country.”

“White-coated bartenders, glass-and-metal storage cabinets, and bare lightbulbs suggest a turn-of-the-century apothecary, but the potions mixed at the 45-foot marble bar are far from medicinal.”

“Join the Club” Josh Sens

“The restaurant won me over with the grace of its interior and the persistent force of its goodwill. It also didn’t hurt that the cocktails were superb, especially the bright, bracing Gunpowder Gimlet made with gin and cayenne.”

Marcia Gagliardi

“A convivial, warm, and unpretentious vibe with a hint of nostalgia, whether you’re there for a cocktail or a full-on killer meal.”

“Where to Find the Best Roast Chicken in San Francisco”

Chef Ray Tang does wonders with chicken, and of the classic dishes we’ve tried on the Presidio Social Club’s menu, this is easily our favorite.

“Dessert that Takes the Cake”, Michael Bauer

“the restaurant serves one of the finest cakes in the city – a lemon chiffon meringue cake with layers of moist cake, mascarpone and a browned puff of whipped egg white on top.”

“Our San Francisco Winter Wedding”

The Presidio Social Club is just a short drive from the church, it happens to be one of our favorite restaurants in the city, and was all around a great pick for our reception. It has a retro vibe, delicious food, and since it’s in the Presidio, it feels very “San Francisco.”
